Inclusion
Little Cranes Pre School is committed to ensuring access for all children to the setting regardless of any additional need or disability they may have.
"I just wanted to send an email to thank all the SEND team at Little Cranes for all your continuous hard work you put in with my son. You all go above and beyond and I appreciate the brilliant communication through phone calls and emails, even throughout lockdown. I feel at ease knowing my son is in your care as he adores your team. His face always lights up when he sees you all. I struggled to find a nursery for my son as I felt a lot couldn’t adhere to his needs and I just didn’t get a warm feeling, as soon as I visited Little Cranes I knew straight away it was the perfect setting for him. Thanks again for all your hard work and for always putting my son's best interests first. You are all an amazing team and I can’t thankyou enough!" (Parent, May 2021)
Mrs Sisson is our Pre-School Leader and Teacher and therefore takes responsibility for the day to day provision for all children with a Special Educational Need or Disability, any child with English as an Additional Language and also supports in the delivery of support for children in receipt of Early Years Pupil Premium.
Mrs Sisson is supported by Mrs Dormer, the Inclusion Leader and SENDCo for Cranfield Church of England Academy. She is also supported by the staff team within Little Cranes Pre-School who, as part of their responsibilities, all play a pivotal role in delivering the very best support and opportunities for every child within the setting.
Mrs Sisson will liaise with parents and external professionals as appropriate in order to deliver high quality support in collaboration with everyone involved in the care for a child.
It is likely that should a child have a high level of need, the provision for this child will be led by Mrs Dormer. Examples of situations like this may be when applying for an EHC plan for a child, or when a child has complex medical problems.
