Our School Prayers
At times in our school day, we may need opportunity to pause, reflect or pray.
We are delighted to be introducing our new school prayers, each of which are inspired by the four basic elements of the Church of England's Vision for Education:
WISDOM ~ HOPE ~ COMMUNITY ~ RESPECT
Together, these four basic elements form an ecology of the fullness of life we aspire our children to receive each day in school.
To find out more about our school prayers, and to read them yourself, please see the gallery below.
Each prayer has its own special hand gesture, helping the children to remember the prayers and also think carefully about the focus for this prayer.
- Wisdom - we hold our hands together 'like a brain'.
- Hope - we show our 'fingers crossed' against our heart.
- Community - we hold hands with our friends.
- Respect - we shake the hand of a neighbour before preparing to pray.
If your child has a prayer or reflection they would like to share in school, please do ask your child's class teacher.
