We Will Remember
Cranfield Church of England Academy's mission to be 'at the heart of Cranfield Village' came to life this Remembrance Sunday.
Marking the centenary of the end of World War One, in conjunction with Holywell School, the Academy opened the doors of its' Saint Peter's Site for a very special 'Gallery of Remembrance'. Attended by up to 500 people during the morning and early afternoon, visitors were delighted by the array of artwork on display, contributed to by children aged from 2 to 14 years old and were able to come together in reflection with tea, coffee and cakes donated by local shops and the village cafe. For the first time in memory, Cranfield Academy's school children proudly sang at the Remembrance Parade itself also, shortly after the two minutes silence. An event to be truly proud of and testament to the Church School's commitment to being community focused, and serving the common good.
